The Planibel is a world of its own, with everything from shops and entertainment to a huge indoor pool. The skiing is right at your feet – you can ski to and from the door, and the main gondola is just metres away. And it's the perfect spot for families bringing little ones, with the operator's childcare based here for all the fun, games and laughter to make your trip that extra bit special.

On the looks front, modern and classic styles are in the mix. Stylish rooms go for lots of light wood, sleek furnishings and splashes of pale green and blue, a contrast to the more traditional decor you'll find in the homely lounge and restaurant areas. Big windows let in the light, not to mention snowy views to get you excited for your day in the mountains.

After the final run of each ski day, the hotel's your oyster. Start things off with a swim and sauna, then pop into the mahogany-furnished hotel bar for an après glass of fizz or vino. Or if you’re after a souvenir or some sports gear, there's a line-up of shops you can visit without leaving the complex. Hungry? You’ll be well taken care of here. On top of your buffet breakfasts and evening meals, there’s a bevy of restaurants and cafés to explore – including a spot that specialises in raclettes, for all that gooey goodness – as well as a mini-market where you can top up on drinks and slope snacks.

All rooms have a TV, telephone, hairdryer and minibar (filled on request).

Cots are available to hire for approx. €12 per night. This also includes a highchair and use of the baby room in the restaurant, which has a microwave, oven, fridge, milk, baby food and yoghurts.

In all rooms it is possible to have useful baby and child equipment - Cribs or sides for the cot, changing mat and bags for nappies. Service bottle warmer (and on request, tailor-made meals for children.)

Concierge service is present 24/24, 7 days a week, always ready to welcome guests.

Always available - Luggage Storage to allow easier arrival and departure even after check in and checkout times.

In winter the free and heated ski and boot storage it is located on the -2 floor and can be reached by lift, allowing you to change comfortably upon departure or return from the slopes.

The Hotel offers the service free of charge in all rooms and common areas WI-FI with fast internet with fibre.

You must be over 18 years to use the spa facilities. you'll need to wear a swimming cap, and towels are available to rent from the hotel for an extra charge.

Pool access is in 1-hour slots which must be booked at least 24 hours in advance, either through the hotel's app or at the hotel reception.

Children under 12 years must be accompanied by an adult to use the pool and spa facilities.

Tourist tax at this hotel is payable locally in cash and applies to any guests aged 15 and over. This rate is subject to change as dictated by the local government.

You’ll need to let us know about any dietary requirements when you book. This hotel can't cater for gluten-free diets.

Childcare

From snowman building to story time, the operator's Childcare team know how to make sure your little ones have the best ski holiday ever. Pepi Penguin Nursery (6 months-3/4 years) and Beanie Bear Club (3/4-8 years) are based in the Planibel Hotel & Residence. All childcare is an extra charge and must be pre-booked to guarantee a place. Places are subject to availability. (6 months - 4 years)

Pepi Penguin Nursery is run by a team of English-speaking childcare professionals. They have their own dedicated space inside the hotel with toys and games that are just right for this age group.

There’s plenty of time for free play, as well as stories, singing and arts and crafts. And we always try to include some outdoor time as well – whether that’s a gondola ride or a spot of snow painting. And if your child normally has a nap, we’ll factor that in too.

Beanie Bear Club (4-8 years)

Beanie Bear Club is all about fun and games – and the English-speaking Childcare professionals always have a song or story up their sleeve. They have their own dedicated club room in the hotel, where kids can play with toys, get stuck into crafts or settle down with stories. Plus, when the weather’s nice, there are plenty of snowy activities on the cards too.

Please note: Ski school isn’t included with Beanie Bear Club, so you’ll need to add this separately when making your booking. Ski school collection is only included if you book your child’s lessons through the operator and you’ll still need to drop off your child yourself at ski school every morning.

Good to know

Both Pepi Penguin Nursery and Beanie Bear Club run for either 3, 5 or 6 days and must be pre-booked to guarantee a place.

The childcare teams are English-speaking and have been reference checked, and care is taken to keep groups sizes small.
