The Snowtrain is back!
Evert thought of travelling to a ski resort by train? Now’s your opportunity to try – Snowtrain is back, serving a range of resorts in France, Switzerland, Austria and Italy.
You board the train at London St Pancras, sit back and relax, watch the stunning countryside dash past your window, and wait to see the mountains (and snow….) come into view. Our favourite operators offer packages including transfers from the arrival station to your chosen resort, usually a much shorter journey than from the airport. In years gone by, there was a Disco Carriage which was famous (infamous?) for delivering bleary-eyed skiers who had partied through the night, to Moutiers or Bourg St Maurice etc., Things are very different now, there is no alchohol served on the Eurostar and you can’t bring it aboard but you can bring your own food and have a picnic in the comfort of your seat.
