Valued clients of ours, Emma J and her husband, had never been the the Alps in summer – this is their review of their holiday in Chamonix.
We are keen walkers and decided this year to try our first package holiday to a summer mountain resort. We spoke to Anne at Born2ski who gave us a few ideas for locations, and we chose a visit to Chamonix. We were a little unsure if this would be the type of holiday for us when we booked it, but we were certainly not disappointed with our experience. We stayed at Pointe Isabelle Hotel the location was perfect and from our balcony we had great views of both the town and the mountains. It was ideally situated to the train station the free train travel pass we received from the hotel was greatly appreciated and used. The hotel itself was comfortable, and the atmosphere was informal and friendly. We went half board and have to say the food provided was delicious. Our representative Harvey was very friendly and helpful. He kept in touch via whatsapp so was always on hand to answer questions and give advice. My husband had a problem with his tooth I contacted Harvey who sent me a list of dentists in the area including contact details. His tooth was sorted within 3 hours. Chamonix is a beautiful town with stunning scenery, great walks, attractions, restaurants and bars. The highlight for us was the Aguille du Midi; this tour is a must, the views are out of this world. Transfers were very easy and comfortable. We were extremely happy with our holiday and the experience, we are already thinking of where to go for the next holiday with Born2Ski.
