Resort Information
From tricky gullies to snow-filled bowls, St Anton’s a top pick for expert skiers. And with 305km of seamlessly connected slopes, intermediates can pack in as many kilometres as they can ski. One of the best ways to take in the area is to tackle the Run of Fame – a 85km route that starts in St Anton and ends in the resort of Warth-Schröcken, on the far side of the Arlberg. With its onion-domed church and traditional chalets, the village has heaps of Tyrolean charm. It’s famously lively too, with lots of slopeside après spots where you can end the day dancing in your ski boots.
To keep the fun going ‘til late, head to the pedestrianised main street and spend the night hopping between the bars and pubs. As for where to stay, the high-end hotels near the Galzig gondola put you in the heart of the action, or for something more laid-back, try a family-run guesthouse at the Nasserein end of the resort. When it comes to off-slope activities, the arl.rock sport park has got you covered. Scale the indoor and outdoor climbing walls, hit the tennis court or check out the bowling alley – then kick-back with some classic pub games in the sports bar.
